The software indicated in the subject are the primary componets used in the software side of a cockpit simulator or as I call "Simpit". I have tried them all. I am not interested in the price of the PM software as I can possibly do the same thing using FS guages on a networked PC. I didnt like the FSXpand package as it was very laggy and unstable. I used MaxiVista and it worked but it does not releive the CPU of the primary PC which defeats the purpose of using a 2nd pc for aicraft systems. I am using 5 displays and 2 computers. I have 4 nVidia FX5400 PCI cards and 2 FX5400 AGP cards(dual heading). I am building an enclosed cockpit for my simming experience. I am trying to get my primary pc to only be used to outside views and my secondary pc for systems, managment and display for PFD, EICAS, FMS, ect... I am still trying to find the most efficent way to do it. When I used WideView it displayed the undocked guages fine with the exception of airspeed, or program my FMS or anything for the primary PC to follow. I cant use mouse/key functions on the secondary PC to work with the primary PC?. If there is a way to do this that any of you know I would love to share ideas and get solutions.
Thanks,Matt

Using WideView
Matt,
Welcome to my small corner of the simpit world. I would give WideView a shot along with fspanel studio for that sort of setup.
When using WideView ,which allows you to run multiple instances of flight simulator on networked PC's, the fs gauges would need to be run on the server side of WideView. Then you would use your visuals on a client PC.
This should free up framerate issues and allow you to run an unlimted ammount of gauges in your pit. Personally I haven't tried this but in theory it should work.
I mentioned FSPanel Studio so you can create custom 2d panels for custom configurations.
Here are some links:

Hopefully that helps!
